RAJA DEY - Director / Cameraman / Producer

Hummingfilms was started by Raja Dey,

Raja started as a freelance cinematographer and documentary filmmaker in Kolkata, India. As a cameraman his experience ranges from documentaries and into narrative fiction, corporate video, commercials, and music videos.

Raja has been a faculty member and Courses coordinator at Chitrabani since 2002, the social communications centre founded by Fr. Gaston Roberge, eminent film scholar and by Mr. Satyajit Ray, world-renowned filmmaker.

Raja also, worked as Cinematographer and Producer with Francisco Bello, for the 2008 Oscar nominated, Film Salim Baba, Directed by Tim Sternberg.

Very recently, Raja made his directorial debute with a docu-drama named "Tamanna" on female infanticide in rural India.

 

SUROJIT CHATTERJEE - Music Director

Surojit started learning the tabla from the age of seven in Allahabad University, and received distinction continuously for eight years.

Later on, Surojit established himself as a Singer, Lyricist, and Composer. As a Singer, Lyricist, and Composer, his experience ranges beyond documentaries and into narrative fiction, corporate video, commercials, and music videos.

Recently Surojit and his fellow musicians formed the Folk band Bhoomi (The Earth). Bhoomi is well acclaimed throughout the world.

  

BAPPADITYA CHATTOPADHYAY - Editor

Bappaditya did his post graduation in Film Studies from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. He is working as a freelance editor. He has also directed and produced a number of telefilms. Besides, he produced a couple of short films.

Bappaditya has been faculty member of NIFA, and Chitrabani , the communication centres founded by eminent film scholars and by renowned filmmakers of India.

 
SUDIPTO NAG - Graphics Design

Sudipto completed his Higher Secondary education in 1993, and subsequently took training in Corel Draw, Freehand, Photoshop.

His work ranged as a Graphic designer from Zoom digital, Integrated Communications, on to Comphotoset, Voyagers, Orange Sky & Brandworks.

Sudipto served quite a number of big clients in India and abroad Tata Steel, Tata Tinplate, TPC ( Tinplate Promotion Council), Hindusthan Lever, Bengal Hyundai, H.M.V. SAREGAMA, World Vision-India, Nestle-India, Polchem perfume etc.		  

JOY PANATTIL - Executive Producer


Sebastian started his career in a communication centre. During the years, he has edited a number documentaries and Television ads, besides his work on Library databases for governmental and non-governmental organisations. Most recently, as Executive Producer of a documentary on Female Infanticide titled "Tamanna", which was telecast by DD Bharati, and other regional languages.
